WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
We are all given the same amount of time within a day. Two-four hours, approximately 1,440 minutes, or 86,400 seconds to think, carry out deeds, and take action (considering leap years). How will you use your time…the time that is gifted from God. My gift of life has been extended to approximately 23,725 days, 569,400 hours, 34, 164,000 minutes, and 2.05 billion of seconds.
What have you done with your life’s time? What are you doing with your life’s time? What will you do with your future life’s time? This is the day that the Lord has made. Another day of life. I will rejoice and be glad in it because I have another day to think. I have another day to specifically carry out deeds that will intentionally and positively impact another life. I have another day of life to perform routine acts of eating, talking, walking, and etc. On this day, I am reminded to first rejoice in it. On this day, I am reminded to encourage or help someone else. On this day, I am reminded to think positive, be positive, and do positive things to carry out the desires of my heart and prayerfully align with the plans you have for me. On this day, I am reminded to give you the glory for another day of life you have given me. Lead me and guide me in what to do with the 24 hours, 1440 minutes, and 86,400 seconds of life that you have given me. Help me to rejoice and be glad in it - even in the midst of chaos!
Lord, thank you for your word that guides and strengthens me. The Bible teaches that time is a gift from God, with a purpose for every moment, and that humans should use it wisely while trusting God’s perfect timing.
Time Has a Purpose and a Season
The Bible emphasizes that there is a time for everything: a time to be born and die, to plant and harvest, to weep and laugh, to mourn and dance (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8)
“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:15-16) biblestudyforyou.com. This includes prioritizing spiritual growth, relationships, and good works, recognizing that earthly time is limited.
Psalm 90:12 teaches, “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom,” highlighting the importance of valuing each day and living intentionally.
