My Mission and Journey
My mission is simple — to add value to someone else’s life journey.
Life’s path is filled with both challenges and victories, many of which we learn to hide behind masks. Yes — masks. Titles, roles, and responsibilities can easily become heavy layers that keep us from showing our true selves. Through my own journey, I’ve learned the freedom that comes with removing those masks — and how that authenticity makes the journey not only lighter, but far more rewarding, especially when it inspires and uplifts others.
A proud North Carolinian, my life’s journey has carried me far and wide — from California and Washington State to Hawaii, and even Senegal, West Africa. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of serving others in meaningful roles: Federal Women’s Program Manager, NC Guardian ad Litem, Therapeutic Foster Care Provider, and Military Family Support Leader.
As a lifelong learner, I earned a master’s degree in management and leadership, where my research focused on urban renewal and its impact on my childhood community. Yet, my greatest education has come from life experiences — from mothering two sons (one a beautifully challenging child), raising two grandsons (one with autism), and caring for four great-nieces and one great-nephew. My published book, A Mother’s Cry: He’s Still My Child, shares my personal story of faith, perseverance, and the power of unconditional love.
Through it all, I’ve gained education and experience — but what matters most is how deeply I care about helping others. Making a difference in someone’s life is the true measure of success.
I invite you to be part of this mission: donate, sponsor, or participate in upcoming webinars, ZOOM events, and podcasts. Together, we can build individuals, strengthen families, and uplift communities — one story, one heart, and one life at a time.
