What To Do In Such A Time As This
We are living in a time where it appears that chaos rule.
When we look to the right, there are natural catastrophes everywhere. COVID. Hurricanes. Tornadoes. Fires. Sink holes, rock, and mud slides. When we look to the left, the adversary is roaring like a lion that he is not. Life experiences are coming fast and furious. Storms are raging. What can we, you, I do about it? First of all, seek God for wisdom, pray, and study His word. Don’t become distracted by it all. Keep your focus; and if you don’t have one – get one. The best focus I have discovered is learning about spiritual principles because we are on a battlefield and in spiritual warfare. The battle first begins in our minds.
What we are witnessing is not war against flesh and blood; but spiritual darkness and a world of evil (Ephesians 6:12). Guard your heart – for out of it comes the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23). Don’t allow yourself to be hijacked by all that is happening around us. Protect your inner self, be careful what you allow to enter and how long you allow it to enter into your ear gates for it will eventually take root in your heart and mind. Discipline your mind and bring every negative or self-destructive thought into submission and under the will of God’s principles (2 Corinthians 10:5) instead of worldly arguments and debates. Set healthy boundaries. Protect your emotional and spiritual health. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and lean not unto your own understanding. Ask God to strengthen you and give you the wisdom to do so. Put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6). I remind myself, daily, that God is in control and nothing happens unless he allows it. I might not understand the purpose; but I do know in the end – it will be for God’s glory.
Remember, don’t become distracted. Stay focused and keep pressing on this journey of life. Don’t become broke down before the breakthrough.
